CNN Presents: Black in America
In the words of Blaine Edwards and Antoine Merriweather: hated it. It felt to me like two hours of rubbing salt in the wounds of the problems in the Black community while offering little…
What Just Happened Here?
OK, so last night, I had a date with this guy I met online (don’t worry — it wasn’t Craigslist). We’ve been chatting it up via e-mail for the past week now, and our schedules finally matched up for…Insert Witty Vacation Quote Here
So one month after my vacation’s occurred, I’m finally getting the chance to talk about it. And you know the fucked up part about it? This past month’s been so busy it’s like I didn’t even have a…Temporary Blog
I’ll be posting here on Tumblr for the time being until my site is restored over at the regular spot. I had a power outage during my routine backup, and when power was restored, my web server space was empty and my backup was corrupted. I’m waiting on my hosting company — 1&1 — to restore my space, but to be honest with you, I’m no all-fired rush to do so.
Work is busy as shit. I’m pulling down 50-hour weeks, 20+ hours of overtime, and it’s kicking my ass. Now, it’s just like auto-pilot; I wake up, I go to work, I design, then I come home. I’ve started taking more naps, but not necessarily of my own volition. As soon as I get home, I flit around for about an hour or two, then take a four to five hour nap. It’s my body’s way of saying “slow the hell down, Karsh.” I’m in bed by midnight, up by 4:30am, and the cycle continues.
School is also busy. I’m doubling my courseload so I can graduate on time. I’ll probably end up being a zombie for the latter half of 2008. I’ve already resolved to myself that this year is going to be one of continuous work. No time to slack off. Or if I do slack off, I need to do something while doing so.
Vacation? What's that?
How about it’ll be a whole month since my vacation, and I hadn’t even had the time to write about it? Kinda kills the freshness of the experience, honestly; I just look fondly at my Club Pass and all the great music I heard while I slave away designing port-a-potty and invalid home care sites for customers in S. Florida.
I wonder if it’s too soon to take another vacation.
